NGC 15-Inch Pendant Software Version 100.24.000.1123 Released

NGC 15-inch pendant software version 100.24.000.1123 has been released and is available for download from the Haas Business Center. To get to the software folders, go to:  >Service Tab >Utilities >Documents and Software >Control Software >Next Generation Control > 01_NGC_15 inch_Software for Control and Simulator

We suggest all HFOs install 100.24.000.1123 on a demo room machine to have technicians try the new encrypted magic code system. More information can be found in the service news All Machines Are Now Being Built With EMC Software and Motion Sensors

This release includes updates from 100.24.000.1120, 100.24.000.1121, 100.24.000.1122, and 100.24.000.1123.

100.24.000.1123 New Features:

• TEMPLATE: Create Templates for VP-5 B and A/C MRZP + Safe Zones
• Create VPS Templates for Mill Probe Measuring Cycles
• LVL3 Keys: Prevent unauthorized use of level 3 keys - Functional Implementation - Beginning with software version 100.24.000.1120, Level 3 keys will not be functional outside of the Haas Factory. Access to these features will now be controlled via a magic code and will be valid for a limited amount of time.
• Implement Desktop Mill Minimum Spindle Speed - An alarm will be generated when attempting to command the spindle lower than 1500 RPM. This will cause the motor to operate below its permitted minimum speed. If commanded, Alarm 9192 Spindle Speed Too Low will be generated.
• Template: VR-5 needs to be included in the MRZP Safe Zone Gimbal Head template
• Features and Activation Changes - Enhancements have been made to the features and activation systems. Moving forward, machine or feature activation will require users to access the activation page to download a request file, which must be sent to their HFO. The HFO will then provide a return file for users to upload.
• Template: HDC artifact location has changed - Artifact Location has been updated in the Safe Zone VPS template to support new machines.
• TEMPLATE: Update VPS probe templates to incorporate large Y axis lathes - Updated lathe WIPS templates to support large lathe ranges. Previously calibration and measure probe templates for X and Y axis had an incorrect range for large lathes that prevented them from being used.
• Update Tool Breakage VPS Templates to Prevent Z Overtravel Alarm on DC-1 - Updated tool breakage VPS templates on the DC-1. Previous versions would command to positive travel, which is not allowed on the DC-1, and would generate over travel alarms.
• FPGA release 2.14 - This fix addresses an issue with configuring DACs on boot. Before, there was a chance that DACs were not configured properly, resulting in Alarm 9920, Position Error Too Large, on all axes. The issue has been resolved.

100.24.000.1123 Corrections:  

• Customer requested adding drill-to-full-diameter to VPS Drilling templates - A change was made to the Drilling VPS template to allow programming drills to full diameter depth or depth to the drill point.
